Christopher Cross is behind some of the best-known easy listening hits of the late 1970s early 1980s. The singer/songwriter/guitarist penned mellow songs such as “Sailing”, “Ride Like the Wind” and the title track for the movie Arthur titled “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do)”. The San Antonio Texas native was born to a military family and first began performing as a member of a cover band called “Flash.” He signed a solo contract with Warner Bros. Records in 1978 and released his self-titled album in 1979. Cross started his own record label and began releasing his own music in 2007.
